What is Pay-Per-View
Pay-Per-View is a low-cost way to access anything on the Ancestry.com website. You can view records one at a time with no long-term commitment or automatic renewal.
Product benefits
Search anywhere you want on the Ancestry.com website. Get unlimited preview search results for as long as you have your Pay-Per-View account.

View records from any of our databases ... census, immigration, newspapers and more.

Detailed search results pages let you preview facts before using a credit to view each record.

There is no long-term commitment. Your Pay-Per-View account will not automatically renew.

You can apply 100% of your Pay-Per-View purchase toward the subscription package of your choice any time before your Pay-Per-View account expires.

Pay-Per-View is the least expensive way to view the largest variety of data. It's also a great way to get a feel for Ancestry.com before moving on to a full subscription.
How it works:
Pay-Per-View works on a pre-paid credit system where $4.95 gives you 5 page view credits to use within 2 days. You can use these credits to view records from any of our databases.
Your Pay-Per-View credits
You can buy 5 page view credits at a time.

You decide when to use each credit. You will be alerted in advance each time you approach a page that requires a Pay-Per-View credit.

Use your credits to view pages from any of our collections including U.S. Census, Immigration, UK and Ireland and Historical Newspapers.
Expiration
You have 2 days to use all 5 of your page view credits.

Within those 2 days, you can explore anywhere on the Ancestry.com site.

If you decide to extend your Pay-Per-View account before it expires, any unused credits will carry over.

Extend your Pay-Per-View account as many times as you like.
